Cooking and baking has always been an important part of our family life. Each and every time we went to my grandparents house there was always something cooking or baking. Homemade cabbage rolls, perogies, cookies, slices or cakes ... you name it, the kitchen was always bustling. As my sister and I grew older our love of food also expanded. We began experimenting with cuisine - trying new flavours, ingredients and ideas.
A few years ago, friends of mine approached me and asked if I would make their wedding cake. Although I was nervous and scared, I took on the challenge and a new love of baking emerged. I love creating new things, designing cakes and baking for friends.
